About the Artist

Ayşım Serdar is an Istanbul-based painter. She graduated from Middle East Technical University with a degree in Business Administration and spent nearly three decades in professional life before devoting herself completely to painting during the pandemic. Working primarily in watercolor, she explores light, color, atmosphere, and the relationship between the visible and the imagined.

​Her earlier paintings include landscapes, animal and human portraits, while her recent work focuses on architecture, natural elements, and atmospheric spaces. In 2025, she published Now a Stardust, a book of watercolor paintings inspired by her cat Fincan.
